Whistler's season is long, and each month has its own personality. Here is how to choose.
Late November to early December
Opening days bring excitement but often limited terrain. Prices are lower, crowds are small and early-season snow can be excellent at upper elevations.
Mid-December to early January
Holiday season means festive lights, high prices and big crowds. Book early and plan to ski at quieter times of day.
January
Often the coldest and most reliable month for snow quality, with fewer crowds after the holidays. A favourite for serious skiers.
February
Peak season for powder and sunshine. Family Day and reading-week weekends are busy, so book ahead.
March
Longer days, stable weather and big snowpack on the upper mountain. A great balance of conditions and crowd levels.
April and May
Spring conditions take over, with corn snow and sunshine. Blackcomb and the glacier often stay open longest. Lodging prices typically drop.
Snow varies
Coastal snow can be heavy and wet at low elevations and light at the top. Check the forecast and freezing levels before you go.
