The ski day does not end when the lifts close. Whistler's après scene ranges from lively patios to quiet corners by the fire.
Right at the base
- Garibaldi Lift Company (GLC) sits beside the Whistler Gondola and is a classic for a post-ski drink.
- Longhorn Saloon is known for its big patio and lively atmosphere.
- Dubh Linn Gate Old Irish Pub is a cosy spot with warm food and a relaxed feel.
Creekside
Creekside has a more local, laid-back feel with cafes and casual spots close to the gondola. It is often quieter than the Village.
Relaxing after skiing
- Soak in the Scandinave Spa for hot and cold pools.
- Head to a hot tub at your lodging.
- Grab a quiet meal in the Village and call it an early night.
Tips
- Arrive early for a table on busy weekends.
- Check for happy hour specials.
- Keep ski boots on the rack or in a locker so you can walk comfortably.
Safe travel
Plan a safe ride home if you are drinking, and never ski after you have had alcohol. Whistler's public transit runs regularly in the evenings.
Keep your gear simple
If you are renting gear, return it the same evening or ask about overnight storage. A relaxed evening makes for a better next day on snow. [Find your rental setup](/Search?q=ski) before you arrive.
